Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here!
Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here! We’re all about family — and if you don’t feel like an honorary member of our family after reading this, you just might by the end! We’re a mother-daughter duo from the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and we’re thrilled to share our story with you.
Meet Alyssa
Hi, I’m Alyssa! I grew up in the charming, historic town of Steilacoom — the kind of place where you know everyone within a five-mile radius. If you’re not patriotic, Steilacoom might not be your scene. I was born on the 4th of July, and for years my parents convinced me that all the fireworks and festivities were to celebrate my birthday — and only my birthday. (Don’t worry, I caught on eventually!) I spent my entire grade school years in Steilacoom until I attended Northwest University in Kirkland, WA, straight out of high school. Ten years later, I went back to Northwest University to finish my bachelor’s degree in psychology and to follow in my father’s footsteps to begin my career in Counseling. Through the years, my mom and I have always shared a love for weddings and design. We believe that spaces — whether it’s your home or your wedding venue — should reflect you and your family. Our goal as wedding planners is to work with you to create a design and event that feels true to you and your family.
Meet Jackie
My mom, Jackie, also grew up in Western Washington. When I was younger, she worked at a wedding dress shop in the Lakewood Town Center Mall. Yes, Lakewood had an indoor mall, and it was everything!! Years later she returned to school for interior design and now her eye for detail shines through in the custom venue layouts she creates for each couple. My mom is incredibly talented. Words can’t fully capture her gift for looking at a space and instantly knowing how to make it beautiful. I can’t talk about my mom’s creativity without mentioning my grandmother. She was my mom’s muse, inspiring her to use her hands to bless others with her creations. From quilts and paintings to furniture and food — and all things Christmas — my mom is basically Martha Stewart. Seriously, someone get her a show! It doesn’t take long for people to notice my mom’s creative talent and heart to bless others. Years ago, weddings were often held in the church with simple receptions—think light finger foods or cake on a plastic plate. My mom saw that and knew couples deserved more than plastic cutlery and dinner on a napkin. So, for years, she coordinated weddings at our church and added her creative touches. People saw her impact on people’s lives with her creative ideas and designs. People could instantly recognize when my mom had a hand in an event—it was simply that special. Over time, more and more people wanted her to help plan their weddings, and I was right there with her helping along the way. My mother and I are so similar in many ways, especially when it comes to design and creativity. However, we are also different in ways that complement each other. About three years ago, we decided to take a huge jump and start a business together. About three years ago, we took a leap of faith and officially launched Jacqueline and Co. As a mother-daughter team, we feel incredibly blessed to serve our community and create meaningful moments for couples. We truly hope you feel like part of our family as we walk through the planning process with you!
With love,
Jacqueline and Co.
